Parts (mostly of the electrical variety)

Ok. I ctrical components ordered and most have arrived. Just waiting for the power cord and an Uno board to program. I am using the Electric Eel Wheel circuit board as my starting point and am only listing the parts here because some of the links on the build page are borked.

From Mouser these are the parts I ordered with a link to the part page (if no qty listed, only 1 is needed):
Total not including shipping $17.40.

From All Electronics:
Total not including shipping $9.75.

From SparkFun:
  •  Mini Push Button Switch
  •  Arduino Uno R3 - This is a whole board with the ATmega328 in it. I got this to make programing easier. If you have a way to program just the ATmega328 buy all means buy just that as it's price is only $5.50.
  • USB A to B cord - Again if you already have one, don't feel like you need to get one.
Total not including shipping $29.25.

From Ebay:
Total (free shipping) $9.99.

From Radio Shack (I went to the on down the street but this is also availble on the website)

  • 2 Sided Copper Clad PC Board $4.49

Total for all those parts $70.88.

Prices are current as of May 23, 2014.

If you are using this as a guide please wait till I have finished building everything, in case there are any kinks to be worked out. I would hate for someone to follow along as I am building only to find out there are changes.

Thank you! Next post will be all about making the circuit board.

Intro

Because I have a DIY spirit and a low budget, I have decided to build my own e-spinner. Using several versions out there on the internet I am making something that will be pretty and do it's job well.
